Lot #658 - This Impala has been customized and was featured in the January 2010 edition of Street Rodder magazine, the September/November edition of Street Thunder magazine, the 2011 Edition of the Chop Top Custom calendar and was used in promoting the 2010 Detroit Autorama. The 348ci 8-cylinder engine has been rebuilt and is coupled to a Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission. Modern features include power steering, CPP power disc brakes and a Classic Auto Air system. The suspension has been upgraded using an Air Ride Technologies digital air-ride system. The interior was done using an updated ‘50s fabric while retaining the original trimwork. A full stereo with modern electronics and MP3 capability is hidden in the original radio. Finished in a two-tone paint and interior color scheme, this Impala rides on custom 17” chrome reverse wheels wearing Vogue radial tires.
