It was manufactured in December 1981 and remains unaltered and original, with the exception of the battery and recall work. Its first owner kept the car until 2007, when it was sold to the Lingenfelter Collection, where it remained until earlier this year. It’s powered by a 2.8-liter 6-cylinder engine backed by a 5-speed manual transmission. The tires, belts and hoses are original, and it’s equipped with functional factory air. The car has been serviced, including fluid changes, tuneup and road testing. This DeLorean includes the original owner’s manual and supplements, all of the original accessories, and a copy of the book “The Car Kid,” written and illustrated by John DeLorean, still in its original shrink wrap.
