Lot #449 - This custom pickup is the product of a body-off, custom restoration with a focus on detail. It’s powered by a built 350ci 8-cylinder engine outfitted with forged pistons, Edelbrock performance package, 12-volt electronic ignition and auxiliary electric cooling system, and dual-chambered exhaust. Backing the engine is a Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission with a Hurst competition shifter, turning a Ford rear end with highway gears. The chassis has been upgraded with lowered leaf springs, power disc brakes, rack & pinion steering and front coil spring suspension. The exterior of the truck is finished in Polo Green base coat/clear coat paint with intentional stressed patina. It features a deluxe hood ornament, stainless window trim, new chrome grille, replated original bumpers and dual taillamps and turn signals. It also sports hewn pine boards in the bed, original running boards, tinted glass, a new exterior mirror on the original arm and 15” chrome wheels. Inside, it’s been upgraded with a Shark gauge package with tachometer, a concealed remote-controlled AM/FM/CD/USB radio, a shortened steering column, push-button start and a custom floor-mounted shifter. The interior also features factory heater and defroster, original brake and clutch pedals, original trim and door hardware, original seat with new covering, wide-angle rearview mirror and the original vacuum wiper system (for display only).
