Description
Lot #651 - This 1973 BMW 3.0 CSi Resto-Mod has been highly modified for performance. It is powered by a single-turbo 3.2-liter straight 6-cylinder engine backed by an upgraded Getrag 5-speed manual transmission and can achieve a top speed of 159 mph. It's been dyno-tested to 360rwhp and 465 ft/lbs of torque. It rides on BMW E34 M5 wheels with upgraded Wilwood brakes. This rust-free 3.0 CSi was stripped down to bare metal in 2016 and finished in Jet Black over a black leather interior and is now offered with a trunk-mounted tool kit. The suspension has been upgraded with Dinan coils with a 1" drop, front and rear Dinan torsion bars and Bilstein gas shocks. It is equipped with air conditioning, Coco mats and a sunroof. The custom front air dam is a replica of the race-ready 3.0’s of the ‘70s and ‘80s, which is necessary to keep the nose down at speed and the turbo intercooler, oil cooler and front brakes cool. This three-owner BMW is an originally carbureted U.S. car that was produced in December 1972.
