Description
Lot #379.1 - This 1969 Plymouth Road Runner is the product of a no-expense-spared, nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration with every component and system restored, upgraded or refurbished. It’s powered by a rebuilt 383ci V8 engine with a stock-spec camshaft and topped with a correct 1969 iron intake, and a 750 cfm 4-barrel Holley carburetor. Additionally, it’s equipped with a Mopar Performance electronic ignition, factory exhaust manifolds and 2.5" aluminized pipes, Flowmaster mufflers and full-length tailpipes. The engine is backed by a fully rebuilt column-shifted 727 automatic transmission with a TCI 2500 stall converter. The 8-3/4” rear has a Sure-Grip differential with 3.23:1 gears, and is mounted with new leaf springs, bushings and KYB gas shocks. The original power steering box has been rebuilt and resealed, and moves all-new tie rod assemblies, idler arm and the original center link. This Road Runner rides on 15" chrome Cragar SS wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial TA tires, and stopping power is provided by power front disc brakes and rear drums, which have all-new hardware. The exterior is finished in Omaha Orange with the Road Runner blackout hood stripes. All trim pieces have been replaced or refurbished to a brand-new appearance, and the body panels were painted top and bottom, including the roof. The interior is finished in new Legendary upholstery that wraps the original front bench seat along with the rear seat, and features restored OEM seatbelts. Also updated and restored are the headliner, sun visors and carpeting, and the orange needles on the factory-issue gauges have been repainted.
