Lot #79 - This custom Beetle is the result of a no-expense-spared build utilizing hundreds of man-hours and numerous hand-fabricated parts. This VW is powered by a 2007cc 4-cylinder engine and manual transmission with dual Dellorto 36 carburetors and a custom header pipe made not to be seen, but still carries a deep racer sound. The engine resides in a highly detailed compartment. Many hours went into the custom hand-formed steelwork before the two-tone glass and flat black paint was applied. The headlights and taillights were relocated lower in the fenders to give the car a lower look, and the custom driving light was carved into the front bumper. When you combine the detail of the front storage compartment with the matching interior, it is obvious it was built as a labor of love and style.
