Description
Lot #151 - This 1927 Ford custom T-bucket was built in the early 1970s and has been family owned ever since. It was featured in a 1981 issue of Rod Action Magazine, then tucked away in a barn for the next 35 years. Acquired by another family member, it was brought back to life with a body-off restoration that took place over the past three years. This roadster has all the detailed features from its original state including Ford-engraved headlamps and radiator shroud. It’s powered by a Chevy 350ci engine coupled to a 3-speed automatic transmission. It features a chromed ’69 Corvette rear end with a TnT chassis conversion. Most of the car parts were shipped to California to be chrome plated, including the Ford spindles and tube axles, block, Ram horn manifolds, alternator and all of the brackets. During the restoration most bolts were changed to stainless steel for rust prevention. New Mickey Thompson mags and aluminum wheels complement the street rod look along with a fresh coat of Modern Steel Metallic paint and a custom digital electronic instrument panel. This family-owned and built roadster includes its original 1927 title.
