Lot #672 - This outstanding 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 pickup is truly remarkable in every sense of the word. This vehicle was used on a Guatemalan coffee plantation for a large part of its life. It was painstakingly restored to show-quality standards throughout and then imported to the U.S. Everything on this vehicle was restored or replaced. It has 565 test miles since completion. The exterior was treated to a beautiful red paint job complemented by a white-painted roof, cream-painted front grille and gray front bumper. Some exterior appointments include dual mirrors, HELLA headlights and tow hooks. It has a new front windshield and all the remaining glass is in great condition. The new tan canvas top is supported with a metal structure. Inside the rear bed was painted as beautiful as the exterior. It sits on seldom-seen 16” spilt-rim wheels wrapped with Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ 31.5x10” 50R16 tires. It’s equipped with a matching spare wheel and tire located under the bed. The interior is simply stunning, with beautiful color contrast. The dash and doors were painted red. The headliner and sun visors are white. The gauge bezel, glove box door, seats and floors are gray. The split-bench vinyl seats were fully restored and include seatbelts. During the restoration, a modern Senden air conditioning system was added for comfort. It’s equipped with factory power steering for easy maneuverability. The painted engine compartment is highly detailed, including all the factory stickers. It’s powered by a 2F 4.2-liter 6-cylinder engine that is rated from the factory with 135hp. The engine was completely rebuilt and runs excellent. It’s equipped with a Rally carburetor and correct dry-type air cleaner. The battery has a power disconnect for storage. The engine is coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission that was also completely rebuilt. The 4-wheel drive system was also completely rebuilt and it’s equipped with AISIN hubs. The undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout. The floors were painted with textured red paint for durability. It was upgraded with a 1983 Land Cruiser third-member. The suspension was given a 1.5” lift, including Old Man EMU shocks, springs and shackles. It’s equipped with 1975-79 Land Cruiser power brakes with front disc and rear drum setup. This is a wonderful example of a Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 4x4 pickup that is ready to enjoy.
