Lot #80 - This ZR1 is #381 out of 448 built for the final year. The current, and third, owner purchased the car from the second owner, who had it for approximately six months. The engine has been recently gone over by a ZR1 specialist. All injectors were changed and new fuel pumps installed, along with coils, all air solenoids and line under intake plenum, and a purpose-built ZR1 starter was installed. The car has been kept in a climate-controlled environment in a private collection and cared for by a private mechanic and expert detailer. This car is unmodified and is powered by a 350ci 8-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The ZR1 package alone added another $27,015 to the car’s MSRP. Many final-year updates and options became standard. The manual transmission reverse lockout was improved to allow easier operation, the previously optional larger brake package was standard and included the latest anti-lock brake and traction control systems, and many small changes were made to decrease rattles and water leaks, including the addition of Velcro straps and a water channel in the A-pillar. In the 1995 ‘Vette, leather was standard and no cloth seats were available.
