Lot #132 - Originally from southern California, this Datsun 240Z had a complete overhaul and rebuild of the original L24 engine. This rebuild included new cylinder head, valves, valve seats, pistons, rings, main and rod bearings. The flywheel, clutch, and master and slave cylinders were replaced. It’s also equipped with the original rebuilt SU carburetors and Nissan polished valve covers, 4-speed manual transmission, electronic ignition, new heat shields, fuel pump, heater core, choke cable assembly, and rebuilt steering rack. The restoration also included a complete refinish of the body, including new floor pans and paint in its original shade of orange, new upholstery, new leather seat covers, and interior panels and headliner. It also received new OEM chrome bumpers, Eibach springs, Tokico shocks, RetroSound radio, new floor mats, stainless-steel exhaust and replacement badges. The dash is not covered up by a plastic cap; it was completely rebuilt. This Datsun has Dynamat sound and heat insulation throughout. It rides on Enkel 15x8” wheels and new BFGoodrich Advantage Sport tires. It has been kept in a climate-controlled collection and comes with an extra set of period-correct Shelby 14” mag wheels and Kumho tires, service receipts, manuals and documents.
