Description
Lot #747 - This limited-edition '66 Heritage-themed 2017 Ford GT was built to honor the GT40 Mark II driven to victory by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon at Le Mans in 1966 – part of the 1-2-3 Ford sweep. This car features a unique Shadow Black exterior with silver stripes and an exposed carbon-fiber package, and sports Frozen White No. 2 hood and door graphics, as well as 20” one-piece forged aluminum wheels in a gold satin clear coat with black lug nuts – echoing those on the original racer. This supercar is powered by a mid-mount 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost turbocharged engine cranking out over 600hp, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Stopping power is provided by Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, and the car has a push-button activated front lift system. The interior wraps the Ford GT carbon-fiber seats in Ebony leather, and the head restraints and leather-wrapped F1-inspired steering wheel are embossed with the Ford GT logo. The instrument panel, pillars and headliner also feature an Ebony leather wrap, with gold appliqués on the instrument panel, seats and shift paddles. The seatbelts are Ford Performance blue. Showing less than 30 actual miles on the odometer, this Ford GT ’66 Heritage Edition also has a unique serialized identification plate, the #2 interior door graphic, and exposed matte carbon-fiber door sills, air register pods and center console.
