Description
Lot #1451.1 - Built with no expense spared, this 1961 Corvette started with a professionally stripped body. The underbody was coated with Scorpion bed liner to add sound-deadening as well as rigidity. Next, the interior floors were applied with the Dynamat insulating sheeting to magnify the heat barrier and interior acoustics. The body was then meticulously hand-sanded and blocked to achieve laser-straight body lines and gapping. The car was then refinished in black base coat paint with charcoal coves and finished off with clear coat. The body was then set on a complete Art Morrison GT chassis, including stainless brake and gas lines and Wilwood C6 braking, Strange nodular rear center section, and adjustable front and rear coilovers. Powering this Corvette is a GM 6.2-liter supercharged 650hp LT4 engine with custom-fabricated dual exhaust exiting out the custom rear tail panel, and handling that horsepower is the state-of-the-art GM 8L90 8-speed automatic transmission. The interior features Al Knoch custom leather seating, door panels, leather dash, accented with custom Daytona carpet and a custom-built console. Dakota Digital gauges fill the instrument cluster. Finally, it’s finished off with a Stayfast convertible top. This Corvette is riding on a set of 18" Billet Specialties polished wheels and custom red line tires.
