Lot #834.1 - Sold new from Warren County Motors in New Jersey, this Trans Am made its way to the U.K. via the Unisea Shipping Line. Ordered from new with the W72 Performance package, it obtained its 400ci Pontiac engine with 4-speed manual transmission. The W72 code automatically triggered the WS6 suspension option which included 4-wheel disc brakes, as well as its posi-traction rear end. Peter Livanos, Greek shipping tycoon and billionaire, took delivery of the car while he was the majority shareholder of Aston Martin Motor Cars in the U.K. Livanos used the car sparingly and after a few years the car found its way to one of Aston Martin's top brass, Mr. Kingsley James Riding Felce, the then Director of Aston Martin Lagonda. Felce also used the car sparingly, having kept it in Aston’s showroom for many years. After leaving his directorship, Felce went on to be the director of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust. After retirement Felce decided to part the company with the Trans Am and the car was returned to the United States, where it received a light reconditioning, including service work and general maintenance. The car is presented in its 10th Anniversary Package color scheme showing the special decal package that Pontiac executed for the 1979 Anniversary model. This matching-numbers Trans Am has covered 4,489 original miles (the title reads mileage exempt) and is still sitting on its original date-coded tires.
