Description
Lot #1125 - This 1969 428 Cobra Jet GT convertible has documentation from day one, including a copy of the first title on the vehicle and a copy of the Window Sticker. This matching-numbers Mustang has a Ford Motor Company archive CSD letter and an Elite Marti Report, which documents this car as having been built on November 7, 1968, at the Metuchen, NJ, plant, is one of 50 built with a 428 CJ engine, and is one of one with its specifications. A Ford executive car, it was delivered to the Philco-Ford headquarters in Philadelphia, where it remained until 1971. This Mustang has been restored using its original components and sheet metal, and retains its original interior. It’s powered by a 428ci 8-cylinder engine mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission and has approximately 2,000 miles since the restoration, with 71,000 original miles in total (mileage not indicated on the registration). This convertible has been in the MCA-published Mustang Times magazine and 428 Cobra Jet Registry 2014 calendar, and has two binders of documentation and two framed information boards.
