Description
Lot #669.1 - This 1969 Chevelle Pro-Touring Resto-Mod underwent a complete body-off restoration and is finished in Radiance Red with sharp lines and nice gaps in the body. Attention to detail was used throughout assembly. The trim and glass have been replaced and polished. Also, new bumpers, grille and trim were added during restoration. The new black interior was done in its original style for the nostalgic feel, with Dakota Digital instrumentation and a Retro Autosound stereo added for modern convenience. Painless Performance wiring was used throughout in the body and powertrain, and was tucked and hidden. The 5.3-liter 8-cylinder LS engine was upgraded with a performance cam, LS6 intake, stainless Ultimate headers and stainless Flowmaster exhaust, all backed by an overdrive automatic transmission with a Circle D 3200 stall converter and a 12-bolt posi-traction rear end with 4.10 gears and Toms axles. An aluminum radiator and dual electric fans were added, and Tanks Inc. supplied the fuel-injection system. This vehicle comes equipped with Vintage Air, billet serpentine system and hood hinges, along with huge 4-wheel power disc brakes from Wilwood and SSBC. The steering and suspension use Hotchkis, and SPC adjustable components with Viking double adjustable coilovers on all four corners, along with power rack & pinion steering. It's riding on custom Boze alloy wheels. During the car's build, it was used by Painless Performance for advertising in the January 2019 issue of Chevy Hi Performance and the February 2019 issue of Super Chevy, as well as some digital advertising in 2019.
