Description
Lot #1018.3 - This Porsche 930 Turbo custom coupe was treated to a complete rebuild, including the transmission, all-new hoses and rubber. It is powered by a 3.3-liter turbocharged flat-6 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission, has a bigger intercooler, headers and a custom stainless exhaust. It makes 330hp at the wheels, has a fully adjustable lowered suspension and is finished in an original blue from 1957 called Aquamarine Blau. Combined with German-sourced yellow head and fog lights, the contrast is stunning. While echoing the original look, the new bumper custom pieces give it a European race feel while still maintaining brake and oil cooling ability through the custom front ducts. A special side-view mirror, designed specifically for this car, reproduces the 356GT style by mounting the reflective glass on the car’s fuel door, located just ahead of the driver side door to give a streamlined nostalgic look. It rides on 15x8" and 16x12" tires painted in a contrasting matte gray and wrapped in Pirelli P7 slicks sourced from England. The interior has a streetable track car look. A roll bar was installed to increase rigidity, provide a place to mount the harnesses and furnish added safety. It comes with fabricated, custom OEM-look panels to conceal the roll bars' mounting points. The harnesses were threaded through new custom-designed GS classic seats covered in basket-weave leather and suede on a color-matching shell. Finishing the driver's contact points, a wood-grain shift knob and Renown USA 100 Dark Competition suede steering wheel were installed. No stone was left unturned, with the underside of the car receiving as much detail as the top. Even behind the door panels, all hardware and other pieces were coated in Yellow Nickel to reproduce the factory Cad Yellow. A select offering from The Bryan Frank Collection.
