Description
Lot #1584 - One of 1,649 factory-made 4x4 short-wides in 1969, this custom Chevy K10 pickup underwent a no-expense-spared complete frame-off restoration with every nut and bolt disassembled and replaced or restored. The body and paint work cost nearly $50,000 alone. Every body panel was completely stripped to bare metal, blocked, primed and finished in Hugger Orange and white with House of Kolor clear. It was then wet-sanded and buffed to a mirror-like shine. All chrome, trim, stainless, seals and glass are new. The frame was sand-blasted and powder-coated, and the bottom of the cab was sound deadened. This custom truck has an oak bed stained black with stainless trim. The truck is powered by a new GM performance 350ci crate engine backed by a rebuilt Turbo 350 automatic transmission with a 205 transfer case. Both the front and rear ends are completely rebuilt. Upgraded features include GM Performance valve covers, custom belt drive system, full-length headers, power steering, new power disc brakes, Vintage Air, new steering box, WARN hubs and all-new suspension. The all-new interior features houndstooth seats with new foam and seat tracks, new headliner, seals, new dash pad, carpet, door panels and arm rests, new tilt steering column, new gauges with factory tachometer, and all-new bezels and switches. This custom truck has a 4’’ lift with new springs and rides on new 35” BFGoodrich tires on Mickey Thompson wheels.
