Description
Lot #1446 - This 1966 Chevy II Nova SS Pro-Touring coupe is a complete custom build. Thousands of hours were put in to this no-expense-spared custom build. Over $85,000 were spent in metal fabrication, body and paint work alone to show complete the laser-straight body finished in Black Hole Black. The engine bay and under side have countless hours in metal fabrication as well. The front and rear bumpers are custom-fabricated and tightened. All of the stainless trim is original to the car and has been polished to a mirror finish. Every piece is either new, restored or fabricated. The interior is custom black leather created by award-winning Jon Lind interiors. The Nova sits on an Art Morrison chassis and is powered by an over-$21,000 Wegner racing LS7 427ci engine. This engine makes 649hp and is mated to a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission. It comes equipped with a fully adjustable coilover suspension with a Watts 3-link rear end. The car rides on 19x12” custom made Forgeline wheels on the rear and 18x9” on the front. With the quality fabrication, the back seat was able to be retained and still fit 345/30-19 Michelin pilots on the rear and 265/35-18 Michelin pilots in the front. Stopping power is provided by a set of 14” Baer brakes. The Nova has custom-made Ultimate stainless headers with a state-of-the-art TIG-welded stainless exhaust system. A few of the upgrades on this car include Vintage Air, Billet Specialties steering wheel, Speedhut gauges, Fesler hood hinges, aluminum radiator and electric fans. The Nova is an original rust-free SS car and, with the exception of the hood, the original panels were used in the build.
