Lot #1002 - After 40 years apart, this 1971 Charger R/T was reunited with its original owner, who decided upon a complete restoration, but at modern-day Resto-Mod performance levels. It has undergone a no-expense-spared complete rotisserie restoration and is finished in its original color scheme, with an added rear spoiler and factory rear window louver. All of the work was done by professionals in the field, with over 2,000 hours put into the build and extensive customization and one-off fabrication throughout. Built as a Pro-Touring modern custom, it is powered by a period-correct and professionally built 1971 440ci engine upgraded with Edelbrock aluminum heads, aluminum intake manifold and Six Pack electronic fuel injection, backed by a Tremec Viper 5-speed manual transmission with a pistol-grip shifter. This Charger is also equipped with a Ford 9" rear end with 3.89 Motive Gear posi-traction differential, custom-fabricated 4-link coilover rear suspension, Vintage Air, power steering, Wilwood 4-piston slotted and drilled 4-wheel disc brakes with 12" rotors, custom-fabricated stainless-steel full-length exhaust with cutouts and bullet-style tips, full leather interior and Foose 18" wheels. This Resto-Mod was a World of Wheels First Place winner and has been driven only test miles since being restored. This factory U-code R/T 440 car is documented with its original Build Sheet and two Fender Tags.
