Lot #1569 - This original 1968 Pontiac GTO hardtop has less than 6,000 original miles (the title reads mileage exempt). It’s powered by a high-output 400/360hp engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission with Hurst shifter. Finished in Solar Red with a black Cordova vinyl top and black interior, this GTO rides on original Rally II wheels wrapped in red line tires. It features a factory-installed push-button radio with 8-track stereo, Rally gauges cluster and tachometer, console, Wonder Touch power steering, front disc brakes, Soft Ray windshield and a heavy-duty air cleaner. This GTO was part of the Lingenfelter collection from 2007-2012 and includes PHS paperwork, original Window Sticker, Build Sheet, Bill of Sale, Protect-O-Plate, new vehicle order form, owner’s manual and the first buyer’s story about the car.
