Description
Lot #861 - During the 1990s, Terry Lee McCoy of Michigan, MCA 3rd and 4th Generation Gold Card Judge and columnist, had a dream of someday getting a new Mustang built on VIP Show Car status, which meant you could go with the car as it passed through the assembly line being built. Ford granted Terry the opportunity to have the car ordered to honor the Mustang Club of America. The order was placed on February 13, 1999, at Campbell Ford in Niles, MI. Ordered in Performance Red with every available option aside from automatic transmission, it was built on April 6 while Terry and two other MCA judges watched, and Ford’s in-house photographer took more than 100 photos. It had six Build Sheets, which Terry was allowed to remove and keep as it completed one segment and moved on to another. Terry was given the honor to start the Mustang for the first time. It sports a “one-only” 35th anniversary parade boot for the car. The car did not receive a dealer prep and is in like-new condition. The Window Sticker and all build and shipping markings are still intact. It is powered by a 4.6-liter SOHC engine that is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, and has 19 actual miles (the title reads mileage exempt). All documents, books and manuals remain with it, including the pre-delivery check sheet, pre-assembly status report, original order sheets and the original odometer statement.
