Lot #718 - This professionally restored 1968 Mustang Resto-Mod was featured in two episodes of Season 8 of "FantomWorks." More than 2,500 hours of labor and approximately $77,000 in parts went into this build, for a total cost of over $270,000. The engine is a Ford Coyote 5.0-liter V8 Aluminator engine producing 525hp with a thermostatically controlled fan and high-performance radiator and custom headers. The engine is backed by a TREMEC 5-speed manual transmission with carbon-fiber rings attached to a Hurst shifter and handle. It has been driven 300 miles since its completion. It was a no-expense-spared restoration that lasted over two years. Everything is new and in good condition. It's finished in Viper Red with painted stripes - not decals - and a white vinyl top. The inside features a new custom interior, new seats and new carpets. It also features a factory radio improved with Bluetooth and auxiliary input, new Dakota Digital dash console and a Pro-Touring wooden steering wheel with V8 emblem. It's sitting on 17-inch Halibrand-style wheels with spinner Shelby-style center caps wrapped in Nitto tires. It has Mustang independent rear suspension with 390 gears, upgraded 11-inch Wilwood drilled and slotted rotors. It's equipped with a Heidts rack & pinion system, power Pro G independent front suspension system, 400-pound springs, e-brake kit, subframe connectors, 1-inch sway bars and coilovers to work with IFS and IRS, and a brand-new electrical system.
