Description
Lot #377 - Prior to spending the last three years in Canada, with a dozen passes at the local drag strip in Mission, BC, and a bit of local cruising, this 1966 Chevrolet Nova spent most of its life in southern California. This custom coupe was professionally built and is powered by a 327ci 8-cylinder engine mated to a professionally built 2-speed Powerglide TCI automatic transmission. This car was built by Joe Lentz (NHRA TECH) and ran in the super stock category. It has a 327, crane solid-lift roller engine, original 462 double-hump fuelie heads, transmission brake and line lock. It’s also equipped with a narrowed 12-bolt rear end with spool and 5.88 gears with Summer brother axles, Nova-only hamburger oil pan, Stahl step headers with fender exit and Auto Meter gauges. The engine, transmission and rear end were all refreshed around 2015. It comes with aluminum Monocoque wheels with drag slicks and a set of new street-legal Mickey Thompson tires mounted on wheels. Comes with loads of information and the original Protect-O-Plate. Recently added a horn button and turn signal switch on the console. This well-preserved, old-school drag race car driven by Joe Lentz in ‘70s and ‘80s.
