Description
Lot #528 - This classic 1948 5-window short-bed Chevy pickup underwent a 6-year nut-and-bolt custom restoration. It was built to be an aggressive yet manageable driver with good handling and comforts. Powered by a first-generation 350ci, 4-bolt, full-roller supercharged engine with a March serpentine pulley system and aluminum 4-core radiator with custom shroud for quiet cooling fan operation. The engine comes equipped with titanium-wrapped jet-coated headers, backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic bowtie transmission and a two-piece chromoly driveshaft. It has vintage electronic gauges with an American wiring harness that is completely hidden from view. It rolls on a Z/28 tubular control arm chassis with adjustable coilovers and sway bars in the front and rear. It has a Wilwood 4-piston, 4-wheel disc brake system and a 26.6-gallon fuel capacity. Leaving the factory styling of yesteryear intact, many subtle changes were made to the body, including a one-piece glass windshield as well as tucked-in bumpers and custom-wrapped running boards. Features a tri-tone, split bench seat and simplified dash area with Vintage Air, power windows, Kenwood Bluetooth CD system and an Ididit polished steering column with banjo wheel. The wood bed is made from aged oak with a tri-color stain and UV protected satin clear coat and stainless-steel bolts throughout.
