The Ford GT was produced for two years, with just 2,027 made in 2005. It was designed as modern version of the Ford GT40 that won the Le Mans race in 1966. The external shape of the GT was created by Ford designer Camilo Pardo to incorporate much of the original GT engineering and designs. It was developed and built by Ford's Special Vehicle Team and is a supercar in every way. It is powered by a 5.4-liter V8 engine producing 550hp mated to a Ricardo 6-speed manual transmission.
