Description
Lot #478 - This fresh, professional nut-and-bolt rotisserie build was recently finished with no expense spared. This 1958 Chevrolet Big-Window Resto-Mod Apache pickup is stunning. The Palladium Silver Metallic finish is complemented with a black leather interior. This beauty is upgraded with a Vintage Air system, power windows, power steering, tilt steering column and power brakes for the convenience of a modern-day vehicle. The professionally built powerhouse 454ci V8 big-block engine is a Generation 5 Chevrolet 454. The engine is backed by a freshly built TH400 automatic transmission with manual valve body, 2500 rpm stall converter and a B&M quarter stick shifter. The mid-length headers flow out to dual 3" exhaust with short mufflers, creating the sound of a hot rod. Feeding this powerhouse is a Mallory Comp series 250 fuel pump from the new aluminum gas tank, which has been relocated under the bed. Earls braided fuel lines and dual filters have been used eliminating rubber fuel lines. When it is time to top off at the pump, the billet flip cap fuel filler cap is easily accessible. The aluminum two-core radiator with dual 11" electric fans cools the engine. Underneath, the frame has been media blasted and painted with POR15 for rust prevention. On the corners, the new U.S. Mags chrome Rambler staggered wheel set give this Resto-Mod a lowered stance allowing drivability and comfort without the hassles of notching or air bags. The wheels are wrapped in new BFGoodrich G-Force Comp 2 tires. Finally, updated new cross-drilled and slotted disc brakes have been installed for added safety and stopping power. This fresh build has 32 test miles on the clock since its completion.
