Lot #330.1 - This 1958 Mercury Monterey 2-door hardtop has been well-preserved. It was bought new on December 1, 1958, from Erickstein Motor Co. in Scobey, MT. It is optioned with the powerful 383ci Marauder V8 engine boasting 312hp and a 4-barrel Holley carburetor. The engine is backed by the Merc-O-Matic 3-speed push-button automatic transmission. 1958 was the first year this engine and transmission package became available. This car has had one repaint in its original shade of Shadow Rose, and its two-tone white and black interior is original with the exception of the carpet, which was replaced due to fading. It has original chrome and stainless throughout. This true time-capsule Mercury comes documented with its original service policy detailing the Monterey’s options and original owner.
