Description
Lot #672.1 - This frame-off customized 1972 Camaro was built to resemble the 1970 Z/28 exterior. It was painted by Visual Imagination with stunning airbrushed carbon-fiber stripes on the fiberglass hood and rear decklid. It’s powered by a Wegner Motorsports built 416ci LS3 V8 engine with a Whipple 2.9-liter supercharger backed by a Pro Comp Powerglide automatic transmission with Gear Vendors overdrive unit, trans brake and line lock. This custom Camaro is equipped with Heidts coilover rear suspension with a Ford 9" rear end and 4:10 gear. It rides on Coys magnesium wheels with Nitto drag radial tires. The interior has a carbon-fiber dash insert with Racepak gauges, and a custom stereo in the glove box with an amp in the trunk. The seats are Tillett Racing carbon-fiber race seats in the front, with an additional set of matching recovered stock ‘72 Camaro seats to match the rear ones, and a padded certified roll cage with removable door braces that is well hidden inside the interior. This custom Camaro has been transformed to a modern street car.
