Description
Lot #174 - This 1970 Jeep CJ5 was one of the final Kaiser Willys Jeep CJs produced. It has all of the original tack weld marks and still has the original dash sticker from the Kaiser Jeep Corporation showing a manufacture date of October 1, 1969. This CJ is powered by its original Dauntless 225ci V6 engine that was pulled out, tuned and reinstalled without detailing or painting, keeping it in all-original patina. The original manifolds are still on the engine; however, an all-new stainless exhaust has been installed from the manifolds back. A completely restored suspension has also been installed using original leaf springs and classic Rancho shocks from the '70s. The Jeep was painted in 1970 Sunset Bronze, and the Renegade decal set has been installed for a classic '70s appearance. The seats are all brand-new, the carpet is brand-new, and the roll bar has been removed, media-blasted and professionally powder-coated. This Jeep was restored keeping the original lighting, gauges, switches, steering wheel and drivetrain, and then given a great look with the classic Alcoa style wheels, BFGoodrich tires, and brown, orange and yellow color scheme.
