Lot #423.1 - This widely raced 1963 Dodge Polara Max Wedge Ramcharger never lost a single quarter-mile or fifth-mile race between October 25, 1962, and June 20, 1963, and it raced almost every weekend until 1971. It's undergone a no-expense-spared 14-year rotisserie restoration completed in 2016 by world-renowned Chrysler NASCAR racer Buddy Arrington and his son Joey Arrington, a NASCAR racer, top engine builder and team owner. This well-known 426 Max Wedge Ramcharger still has its original 426ci engine, push-button automatic transmission and limited-slip differential rear end, and has less than 100 miles since completion. Darrell Davis, the custodian of the Dodge Max Wedge Registry, confirmed this is one of five Dodge Polaras built in this configuration with this powertrain and the only one in Turquoise Iridescent paint. It features an AM radio and 3-1/2" diameter exhaust tuned for maximum performance.
