Description
Lot #1348 - This 1958 Pro-Touring-style Corvette was professionally built with the new 6.2-liter LT1 direct-injected Corvette engine with 460hp, 465 ft/lbs of torque and 4L75E automatic transmission. It has an Art Morrison C7 chassis, fully adjustable ride height and JRI coilovers. The frame was powder-coated in a shade of silver to match the cove color. It has Wilwood brakes with C7 6-piston calipers, 14" rotors, and stainless-steel brake lines. It rides on EVOD one-off wheels made to look like a modern original style with knockoff center nuts, and shaved Nitto tires with added whitewalls for a custom look. It also has power rack & pinion steering, a whisper-quiet Aeromotive 340 Phantom Stealth in-tank pump, Fragola Teflon fuel lines and fittings, GM wiring harness and factory-programmed computer. The body is all-original and was completely stripped with glass beads before being finished in PPG Jet Black and Global High Solids Clear. The same attention to detail was performed on the bottom side of the car, which was painted with a black ceramic coating. All body gaps are excellent, body panels are laser-straight, and the fit and finish is unparalleled. It has a new stereo made to look exactly like the original 1958 Wonder Bar model with Bluetooth, JL amplifier, subwoofer and Focal speakers. The convertible top was completely restored. This custom ‘Vette has 200 miles on the build and comes with engine and transmission warranty papers, all wiring schematics, instruction manuals and pictures.
