Description
Lot #24.1 - This is a factory-built cafe racer for the street. It features four-into-one exhaust, mag wheels, sport handle bars and custom graphics. It features a 750cc engine with 5-speed manual transmission. With 67hp and a power-to-weight ratio of 7.6, this bike was in the low 12-second quarter-mile range. Faster than almost every muscle car and a top speed over 125 mph made this bike an instant and iconic success. With one owner until this past year, it was purchased in California and had never left the state. The bike is excellent original condition and has been stored in a garage for many years of its life. In 1995, the bike was put into a garage under a cover and set up for long-term storage. In about 2015, it was discovered and the bike was brought to a shop, where it received a full service and was made ready for the road again. The truly unbelievable documentation includes an incredible amount of receipts, registrations dating back to the first one in 1978, and professional work that's been done to the bike. There are owner’s manuals, Honda owner’s ID card, even a "Welcome to The Honda Family" letter. There is also a pad with the mileage, oil change, lube, etc., from 1978, starting at 0 mileage. It even has some scratch paper with mileage and mpg from every time the original owner fueled the bike. All of the stickers on the bike – including the chain lube, helmet sticker and tire info – are all-original and in great shape. The original tool case with all the original tools is still under the seat. Documentation, paperwork and receipts go with the bike – adding to the provenance.
