Lot #156.1 - This 1956 Bel Air was purchased in 1987 in Hawthorne, CA. With a complete frame-off restoration, it was fully restored to stock by the end of 1988. This California car has no rust. With the exception of general maintenance, no additional work done has been done on this car since 1988. It has been cared for and driven lovingly for the last 30 years. Included are the original restored Wonder Bar radio, dual exhaust and Powerglide transmission. The interior was restored to its original trim combination of light blue vinyl and blue-pattern cloth. All chrome was restored and other parts were replaced with either NOS or remanufactured parts from a Chevrolet distributor. The car has been painted with its stock color scheme of India Ivory and Nassau Blue. A cassette player was installed under the driver's seat. All paperwork from 1988 and a car cover are included with this car, which has been driven locally.
