Description
Lot #367 - This rare 1967 International short-box pickup was originally purchased on the prairies. The truck was owned by a family member of an International Harvester dealership. Restoration began twelve years ago, prior to the owner selling the truck. Suspension upgrades were made including increased capacity torsion bar and custom disc brakes. An AMC 401ci V8 (an option in 1974-75 IH trucks) was installed. The engine was completely rebuilt in 2017 to 1969 specifications. Rare early 1970 390 heads with dogleg exhaust ports and studded rocker arms, .030 over pistons and a 1969 NOS high-performance camshaft were part of the total professional rebuild. An MSD ignition, electric fuel pump, Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor were also added. The engine has 500 miles since the rebuild. The Chrysler 727 automatic transmission was rebuilt with a shift kit as well as a rebuild of the Dana 44 limited-slip differential. The truck body was restored in 2013 which included an NOS truck box, bumpers, as well as many other parts, including a dual exhaust with equalizer. At this time, a professional Line-X box liner was applied.
