Description
Lot #3000 - This Jeep Wrangler Red Rock Edition is donated by Mike Helton, vice chairman of NASCAR and president and chairman of The NASCAR Foundation. One of less than 50 production vehicles built by Jeep, this version was inspired by Moab and the celebration of the 50th Annual Easter Safari gathering of Jeep enthusiasts from all over the world. A very capable Jeep, unique performance items include next-generation Dana 44 solid front and rear axles, Tru-Lok front and rear locking differentials, Rock Trac transfer case with 4.10 axle ratio, premium off-road rock rails and unique badging commemorating the occasion. It also has a custom leather interior by Katskin and all the creature comforts of a luxury vehicle. To enhance the power, the vehicle was carefully delivered to Petty's Garage and treated to a performance upgrade to the engine. This Jeep was personally supervised by Richard Petty himself while it was treated to a supercharger addition. When complete, Richard Petty put his famous artistic signature on the passenger side portion of the dash. It's one of 50 built by Jeep and may be the only one of those 50 signed by the legendary King himself. All proceeds from this sale will benefit The NASCAR Foundation, earmarked for the UNLV Emergency Room Residents Foundation.
