Description
Lot #790 - This 1970 Mustang is loaded with subtle custom touches, like the 427 ghost numbers in flat black on the hood and rear of car. The power plant is a Smeding-built all-aluminum 427ci Dart block putting out a whopping 496hp with 553 ft/lbs of torque while receiving forced fresh air from alongside each headlight. It features a Shelby relocation mod front end, and boxed upper and lower arms with RideTech ShockWave shocks. All the power is running through the TKO 5-speed manual transmission with an RST twin-disc clutch and aluminum driveshaft to the 31-spline Ford 9" axles with Traction-Lok differential and 3.70 gears. The rear is resting on RideTech 4-link ShockWave Shocks. Breaking power is provided by Baer 4-piston calipers with an added bonus of line lock. Riding on 18" Intro wheels, this beautiful car is painted or polished from top to bottom. The undercarriage is as detailed as the engine compartment. While sitting in the car, enjoy mirrors with lighted turn signals, power seats and cold air conditioning. Multiple national-award winner featured in a full color shoot in Popular Hot Rodding magazine.
