Description
Lot #654 - This double-door Euro-specification bus underwent a seven-year complete rotisserie restoration. As nice underneath as it is on top, everything works as it did in 1960. It's equipped with a 1192cc engine with 4-speep manual transmission, even the fuel lines are German. Both the engine and transmission were restored to original specifications. Finished in Seafoam Grey/Mango Green, this bus is better-than-new. It was restored using replated original Kamax hardware, door latches and handles for a true museum-quality restoration. All of the running gear was completely restored from the inside out, including the front end, transmission and engine. The European semaphore turn signals are functional, the radio works and the bus is a dream to drive. The double flip seat is a rare item, giving access to the rear seat from both sides of the bus. Sunroof slides open. The bus utilizes reduction boxes at the rear wheels as it did when new. The accessory spotlight and horn ring are functional as are the accessory fog lights on the front bumper. It runs and drives like-new.
