Description
Lot #333 - Extremely solid and rust-free, this VW Beetle has spent its entire life in Southern California until recently. It still retains its original Black Plates, which will come with the car. The interior is all-original with the exception of the headliner, which had to be replaced. Factory two-tone seats were only offered from 1958-1960. The original floor mats and square-weave wool carpet are still in amazing shape for their age. The dashboard, door interiors, under-hood and under-decklid still retain the car's original Indigo Blue paint. It even has the original sticker with paint code "Indigo Blau L 436" next to the VIN plate. The car had one very professional exterior repaint quite a few years back that still shows amazingly well. The engine was upgraded to a 1500cc 4-cylinder with 4-speed manual transmission but still has the correct early heater boxes, carb and air cleaner. Factory accessories include sliding canvas sunroof, pop-out windows, scuff plates on interior A-pillar and door bottoms, mud flaps, wheel discs and wood-slat roof rack.
