Description
Lot #1120 - This car is the brainchild of two-time World Series Champ Pat Burrel, aka "Pat the Bat." This 720hp, adjustable 2-stage NOS, fire-breathing Chevelle can put down over 1,000hp with the correct jets and tuned. In street trim, it achieves an easy 500hp and 600 ft/lbs of torque for cruising. This car was purchased as a rotisserie-restored original LS5 4-speed manual transmission. Completely disassembled, this car went on a painstaking one-year adventure to achieve the ultimate sleeper. A GM Performance 572/720hp crate engine was stripped down, blue printed, reassembled and paint-matched to the exterior color with a Tremec Magnum T56 transmission. With a stock appearance, the interior many fool some, but a closer look reveals a 6-point roll cage all TIG-welded with safety harnesses and completely modified front tunnel sheet metal accommodates the larger Magnum tranny. This car rolls on staggered custom Asante wheels color-matched to the exterior. The rear of the car has been upgraded and completely back-halfed with Detroit speed 4-link reengineered to maintain the back seat. All sheet metal in the rear was widened to retain stock-looking inner fender wells and maintain a stock-appearing trunk while adding 5" to wheel width. It has a custom 9" housing with Detroit locker and giant Wilwood brakes out back. Up front, it's equipped with giant Wilwood brakes and custom rotors with more Detroit speed goodies and a road course Speedway engineering anti-roll bar. It has custom Arrowlane stainless headers and exhaust with custom side outlets. Completely fabricated Edelbrock two-stage completely adjustable Nitrous system with adjustable jetting get the horsepower to the ground. This car has a Deep Blue two-stage paint job with Pearl White stripes air brushed factory emblems buried deeply under five coats of clear paint. The somewhat stock stance disguises the ultimate sleeper with timeless looks.
