Lot #701 - This rare half-ton stepside pickup is the rare cousin of the F-1 Ford pickup and has been radically and tastefully modified. This truck has been driven infrequently and shown since it was frame-off modified and restored. This fabulous Mercury drives and sounds awesome. It performs well on the street and strip. The all-metal body is finished in Black Tulip. The 75" wheel base has been shortened 14", chopped 5", channeled 6" and widened 4". It features a one-off custom front bumper, one-off custom rear bumper, Lucas headlights, 1950 Pontiac taillights, custom billet outside mirrors and custom-cut gray tint glass. It rides on 17" front and 20" rear custom billet front rims with Goodyear Eagle tires. Other features include the Mercury tailgate, oak wood bed and custom stainless fuel tank. The Rosette Sand ostrich leather interior features a padded dash, custom seats, custom door panels, custom headliner, custom carpet, Vintage Air, Old Tyme auto meters and tilt steering with custom billet steering wheel. Sound is provided via an MP3/CD/AM/FM stereo, 5" Bose speakers in a custom console and Bose speakers in the kick panels. It's equipped with a 1975 Mustang II front end, 1976 Thunderbird rack & pinion, power steering and power brakes. Other features include 11" front and rear disc brakes, line lock and 4-link coilover rear suspension. It's powered by a 1970 302ci engine balanced and blueprinted to 347ci stroker with Ford Racing valve covers, Edelbrock manifold, 750 cfm Holley carburetor, custom air cleaner with K&N air filter and 1970 3-speed C-6 transmission. It's also equipped with a Ford 9" rear end, 3.91:1 gear ratio, 2,500 rpm stall converter, B&M Street Bandit shifter, chromed pulleys and brackets, electric fan, Flo Pro 3" exhaust, custom and shortened drive shaft.
