Lot #1381 - The engine of this Ferrari, known as the Tipo 251, was developed from the earlier Colombo V12 used in the 275 GTB/4. It features six Weber twin carburetors. This engine produced 352hp with a 0-60 mph acceleration in just 5.4 seconds. The generally accepted total number of Daytonas from the Ferrari Club historians is 1,406 over the life of the model. All bodies, except the first Pininfarina prototype, were produced by Italian coachbuilder Scaglietti, which at the time already had a reputable record of working with Ferrari. This is a matching-numbers 365 GTB/4 coupe. The car was professionally converted in the '80s to a 365 GTB/4 Spider by coachbuilder Richard Straman. This car has been owned by the same owner for more than 20 years. It has new Ferrari Fly Yellow paint and a new leather interior with a new set of Borrani wire wheels. The car has 80,574 original miles since new - less than 2,000 miles per year. This car runs and drives great.
