Description
Lot #1300.1 - A beautiful, fully restored 1959 Chevrolet Impala Convertible, one of the best of the best. It includes the highly desirable, factory-installed 348ci Tri-Power Turbo-Thrust V8 engine and 2-speed Turboglide automatic transmission. It has received a recent factory-correct, body-off, nut-and-bolt restoration by none other than the acknowledged master, Patrick's Classy Cars of Phoenix, AZ. This stunning vehicle is painted Tuxedo Black and features the proper Seville grain, red vinyl tri-tone interior. It also features the highly desirable twin rear antennas. 1959 Impalas were longer, lower and wider with ultra-wide horizontal fins. The rear end also features the one-year-only cat-eye taillights. This car is equipped with power steering, power brakes and those highly desirable, distinctive twin rear antennas. During the restoration, the engine and transmission were completely rebuilt. All mechanical parts, including the wiring, brake system, weatherstripping, exhaust pipes and mufflers were replaced. The car was fitted with new whitewall tires, brakes and suspension components to factory specifications. The glass, convertible top and top boot are all new and correct. The bumpers and stainless-steel trim were stripped and rechromed or repolished. The wheel covers are also new. The entire restoration process was carefully documented in a photographic journal that comes with the car. Driven just 6 miles since restoration.
