Description
Lot #958 - Fresh out of restoration, this beautiful 1938 all-steel street rod began with an excellent car that was not eaten up with rust or had any major damage. This car was going to be built as a cruiser so the original suspension was tossed and replaced with a Mustang II independent front suspension with power rack & pinion steering and disc brakes. The rear received a custom set of leaf springs and gas shocks. The body was covered in deep black show-quality paint that looks a foot deep and really shows off how straight the body of the car is. All glass and weatherstripping have been replaced with new and all chrome is in excellent condition. The drivetrain consist of a freshly built 350ci V8 engine backed by a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. The rear axle is a GM 10-bolt with a 3.23 gear ratio. The interior of the car has been finished in all camel leather with hand-painted wood grain on the dash and window moldings. The Chevy also features a chrome tilt column with leather-wrapped billet steering wheel, Auto Meter gauges and air conditioning. It sits on a set of 19" and 20" custom wheels for the perfect stance.
