Lot #813.1 - In 1958 only 9,168 Corvettes were built, less than 455 were produced in Panama Yellow and white combination and only 2,436 were produced with the RPO 469 283/245hp dual-quad carburetor package. This is a beautiful and rare car. Recently restored, this car has a rebuilt matching-numbers 283/245hp dual-quad engine backed by an automatic transmission and a 3.36:1 rear end. Most components under the hood and driveline have been restored or rebuilt. It has a new aluminized exhaust system. The rare show-quality Panama Yellow with white coves is finished in base coat/clear coat paint. It has an excellent body with the factory bonding strips intact. It features a rust-free West Coast frame and fully detailed undercarriage. All the brightwork has been rechromed with stainless trim polished, new body weatherstripping and new body emblems. The new Al Knoch black interior includes correct Daytona carpet, seat covers, door panels and door panel stainless trim. It also has a nice dash pad with correct gauges and working clock as well as new Al Knoch black canvas soft-top and top weatherstripping. It rides on correct wheels with restored spinner hubcaps and new whitewall radial tires. This unique 1958 Corvette runs and drives great. This rare factory radio delete car is optioned with a heater, whitewall tires, two-tone paint, dual-quad carburetors and an automatic transmission.
