Lot #1438 - This is an excellent example that had a complete restoration done to a very high standard. The Shelby tag on the car is original and correct to the vehicle and the door tag is also original. The body on the car is excellent, as are the floors, body panels and paint. All of the brightwork is correct and original. The engine compartment is very correct in appearance. The engine is the original type, but is not the original unit to the car. The automatic transmission is correct to the car. The interior is excellent. The rear end is the original and correct to the car. It rides on reproduction Shelby 10-spoke wheels, and all five are accounted for. This well-equipped car was ordered new with GT equipment group, visibility group, Sport Deck rear seat, power steering, power front disc brakes, tilt-away steering column, AM radio, interior décor group and trip odometer. The AM radio has been replaced. All aspects of the car's mechanical components were redone at time of restoration and perform as designed. This is one of 1,053 GT500 KRs produced in 1968.
