Description
Lot #222 - A stunning Resto-Mod 4x4 just completed with less than 200 test miles. The project started with a rust-free cab that was rotisserie-restored before being reinstalled along with the new box to a fully detailed and restored chassis. The upgraded 4x4 chassis placed under the reconditioned sheet metal includes upgraded 3/4-ton axles, as well as all new suspension components, including springs, bushings, ball joints and steering components. A front Dana unit is coupled through the automatic overdrive 4L60 transmission to an Eaton rear axle. The body of the truck is laser-straight and features subtle custom touches such as a filled tailgate, custom grille and relocated fuel tank under the bed. Power is generated by a 454ci engine equipped with ceramic-coated headers, full-length dual exhaust and mild camshaft, which makes this a pleasure to drive. The overdrive transmission permits reliable freeway cruising. Dual cooling fans keep the truck running cool even in hot weather with the air conditioning on. The truck is equipped with power steering, disc brakes and air conditioning. USB connections are included for phone-to-radio interface. The interior has been completely refurbished, and the dash has been restored with a full gauge package. The truck is equipped with military OZ run-flat tires and factory lock-outs. This truck comes out of a private collection.
