Description
Lot #190 - This is equipped with a 401/325hp overhead-valve V8 4-barrel carbureted engine with 3-speed turbine-drive automatic transmission and power-assisted 4-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. An example of Buick's performance model for 1963, this is well-appointed with a beautiful appearance. Finished in its original color of Granada Red with black vinyl seating and a clean, tight white soft-top, this example of the Wildcat convertible is the ultimate machine for style and performance from half a century ago. With the famous Nailhead V8 under the hood backed up by the proven turbine-drive transmission, this car can still get up and scoot. Power steering and brakes make driving this Wildcat a whole lot safer. Interior appointments include push-button AM radio, console-mounted tachometer, power windows and driver's-side bucket seat. Plus, vast amounts of brushed aluminum brightwork complete the picture. Several aftermarket gauges help monitor engine conditions and have been discreetly installed. This is an excellent example of Buick's top performer for 1963. From the Charlie Thomas Collection.
