Description
Lot #328.1 - Beautiful, one of 117 built LeSabre Grand Nationals. This is an extremely well-cared-for automobile with less than 17,000 actual miles. These cars were built with the modified rear quarter windows sanctioned for the NASCAR Winston Cup Series. The modified windows gave the car a streamline advantage over cars with the large rear quarter windows. This car comes complete with original dealer invoice, owner's manual, protection plan booklet and additional records. Serviced, detailed and ready to enjoy. All LeSabre Grand Nationals were produced in December 1985 in one-run, from-one-run sheet. These were some of the first front-wheel-drive LeSabre coupes produced at the brand-new Buick City plant. Serial numbers are sequential or nearly sequential, and all have the same exact options. Around that time Buick Motor Division changed its marketing strategy from a performance to luxury car image and cancelled future LeSabre Grand National builds. This is equipped with code-WE2, the Grand National option that cost $1,237. It has LeSabre Grand National fender badges. The Turbo-Six was all red, instead of Regal Grand National's traditional yellow and red. This supposedly was done to differentiate a turbo from a non-turbo version. It has blacked-out trim. However, the bumpers, grille, headlight surrounds, wheel well opening trim, roof drip rail, door handles, locks and trunk emblem surround are chrome. It also has smooth rear bumper with no bumperettes. Other exterior features include lay-down, black-trimmed Tri-Shield hood ornament, thin rubber belt molding rub strip trim from front to rear wheel well. It's powered by code-LG3, a 3.8-liter SFI V6 engine with roller valve train. It rides on aluminum wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle GT blackwall tires. The rear, side quarter windows are partially closed and covered. It also has a front spoiler and dual exhaust outlets. The gray cloth interior features power 6-way bench seat, 3-spoke leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, cassette/AM/FM stereo, electric door locks, power windows, tilt steering wheel and cruise control. The gray front floor mats bore the all-red Power-Six logo and there are no LeSabre emblems on the car except for the passenger side of the dash. Other features include pulsating windshield wipers, tungsten halogen lamps and front license mounting. Automatic transmission.
