Description
Lot #934 - This pro-built Resto-Mod is a show car that can be driven. It was a cover and feature car in the May 2016 Mopar Muscle magazine and was featured in a manufacturer booth at SEMA 2015. It was also featured in an episode of "Big Muscle" with Mike Musto on Drive prior to receiving the pgrades and styling changes that it currently has. The exterior styling changes are subtle, starting with a 1968 Dart GT hood modified with functional one-off vent trim. The bumpers have been shaved and tucked. All trim and brightwork have been treated in satin black. The bodywork is laser-straight and sprayed in House of Kolor Jet Black base coat/clear coat. The interior is a blend of stock Dart seats and door panels, with custom touches. The dashboard is a one-off fabricated aluminum piece with a Racepak display, Vintage Air climate control panel and Ron Francis wiring and switches. The custom aluminum treatment is carried into the modified center console with Hurst shifter. Suspension and stance is all Hotchkis components, including Fox shocks. While the car looks like a drag car, the swaybars and suspension mods make it handle great. Steering is a manual box with a Flaming River steering column. Brakes features Wilwood 4-piston calipers up front, Chrysler drums in the rear, all fed by a Wilwood master-cylinder power brake setup. The drivetrain features a Chrysler small block "LA" 360ci engine with Edelbrock aluminum heads and manifold, Quick Fuel carburetor and upgraded engine accessories with a highly detailed engine bay. Engine power is estimated a 415hp. The B&M built 727 automatic transmission is connected via custom driveshaft to a Chrysler 8.75" rear end with an Auburn Sure Grip limited-slip 3:73 differential. Sanderson headers and custom TIG welded stainless tub with Gibson MWA mufflers finish the exhaust.
