Description
Lot #424.2 - This all-steel street rod has been lightly modified and smoothed. The drivetrain, as well as the front and rear suspension, are from a C4 Chevrolet Corvette. It is powered by an LT1 4-bolt main with 300hp mated to a 700R4 automatic transmission. It is equipped with a Corvette computer and ABS braking. The air conditioning has dual evaporators; one is under the rear seat and supplies air conditioning to the rear of the cabin, and the electronic components under the rear seats. It has an AM/FM stereo with a 10-disc CD changer. The amplifiers are located under the rear seat with a Sony-controlled head unit. All speakers were replaced and upgraded. It has a custom fuel cell from Fuel Safe located through the trunk floor, with a custom fuel filler on the left rear fender. In the fall of 2009, the dash was redesigned using Auto Meter Classic gauges, clock, improved vents and custom glove box. The interior was finished in leather that same year. The custom redesigned frame is powder-coated. The rear fenders are welded to the body, and seams are filled and smoothed. The undersides of the body panels and fenders are coated in color-coordinated bed-liner material for sound control and to prevent rock dings in the fenders from below. The door and trunk handles are shaved and open, with controls integrated with a top-of-the-line Viper alarm system. Hidden from view, the manual door pull is located on the passenger door in case of failure. Two custom-mounted batteries are located in the forward trunk area.
